Mike Baker.
I generate unique written content that makes your white space go away while ensuring your customers don't.
I studied English, journalism, and military history at Virginia Tech. I worked my easiest when I wrote a short story the morning before it was due about a castrated runaway slave. I worked my hardest when writing about First Amendment cases. I like the word "kesselschlacht" and remember "look that up in your Funk & Wagnalls."
Someone burned down my school when I was an English teacher and I learned how to build a state-of-the-art Mac network, which eventually led to me engineering the IT security and network infrastructure at 20 schools for an international education company.
From May 8, 2006 to February 27, 2023, I reinforced the brand integrity of Hammacher Schlemmer. I invented "Hammerica" as the name for the company intranet after hearing a radio ad for American Mattress. Apparently, my second submission—"Info Burrito"—actually won the corporate-wide intranet naming contest.
To my knowledge, Hammacher Schlemmer no longer conducts naming contests.
